Middlesex University Induction
Wow, what a busy few days I had attending Middlesex University for my Professional Practise course, and anyone who is wondering what that means I can confidently tell you that it is basically exactly what it says on the tin! I am doing a BA Honours degree in what I practice professionally which is Dance and Dance education.
Travelling from Manchester to Middlesex exhausted me literally and the information hurt my brain as there was so much to take in and remember, the thought of setting up a gmail account and a “blog” scared me and after reading a few other fellow students blogs I’m not the only one they scared. In fact at the end of day one at Middlesex I swore that if I heard the work “blog” one more time I would turn into a crazy woman and scream I hate computers for my entire journey on the tube!
Fear not though it’s not that bad and I’m so glad I could attend as it has put everything into perspective and I have questioned everything I needed to clarify.
Attending has meant I have met the advisors who I can happily say “yay I got peter!” and even the boss of the course Alan who has already been so supportive towards me from the minute I heard about this opportunity to get my degree whether he knows it or not! Best of all I have had the opportunity to meet people on my course such as Lorraine who is my induction buddy even if her boyfriend thinks she had to pay me to be her friend!!! So “blogging” is now how I will keep in contact with them.
Such a lot of information to take in but the creative exercises we were given to do gave our sizzled brain cells time to recover and the networking sessions were vital even with the technical difficulties we experienced at Cat Hill Peter ensured us that this blogging stuff is going to be easy!!!!!!!!! So far so good.
Looking forward to the next 15 months of hard graft and hearing what you guys are all up to on your blogs,
See you laters alligators

I love this post!
ReplyDeleteMainly because I make a debut appearance and obviously being in the Performance industry I like to be in the limelight!
Indeed after all the stress with this bloody blogging we have done it!
And who says to be a dance teacher you only have to count "5, 6, 7, 8!!!"
